Kathmandu, Apr. 7: Inflation in the eighth month of this fiscal year has increased doubly in comparison to the last year during the same period.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) said on Monday inflation during the eighth month of the current fiscal year is 13.1, which in the last year was only 7.2.
NRB said due to high price rate in daily consumer goods, beverages and service groups inflation is highest.Kathmandu faced the highest consumer price inflation with 13.4 per cent compared to 13.3 in Terai and 12.4 in the hills. NRB said last year the inflation was 7.0 per cent in Kathmandu, 7.1 and 7.5 in Terai and the hills respectively.
